Long day ~ Day 15 ~ Still Sober

I don't have much to say today. I am really tired after working all day, but I'm feeling great otherwise. I do have to report that when I was in the grocery store this evening, Haylie almost knocked over a bottle of my favorite wine. I wonder if that is a sign...... Happy Saturday evening everyone!!

Well, to know me is to love me. You will know WAY more about me than you EVER wanted to know about ANYONE. I don't believe in "too much information" and if you can't handle that than why are you on my blog??? Anywho, I am 35 years old and I was born and adopted in Germany. Yes, adopted. No that doesn't make my life, as a default "f***ed up". I am a single mom of one beautiful 11-year-old daughter named Haylie. She is the most important person in my life and that is non-negotiable. Which brings me to the 2nd most important person in my life, Mike. He and I met over a year ago and we have been gradually building a relationship that is so strong and loving, something I have never experienced in my 35 year existance. I was with a narcissistic son of a bitch for 17 years, Haylie's father, and I was in absolute denial about the way he treated me. It took me a very long time, alcoholism, weight gain, weight loss, weight gain...to realize that I am worth it and he is the piece of shit, not me. When I first started dating Mike it was very difficult for me to accept the fact that his respect for me was not something unusual in a relationship, but something completely normal. Now i'm almost grasping the concept. I work two jobs. Full-time secretary, YES a secretary. Not an administrative assistant. That is entirely too many letters to write and it means the exact same thing. I sub for my fellow co-workers at the ACAC cafe, Albemarle square. Finally, I am a part-time student. I was going for the nursing program, but I SUCK at science, so i'm just going to get a certificate for what I already do. Makes sense right? Now you know me, for the most part. Follow me so I can get to know you.
